The Vision

Trusting God to do more.

All In is a two-year invitation for everyone at First Christian Church to fully step into what God is doing among us.

From our founding story to today, God has proven faithful again and again. People we never met prayed for a church they would never see full. They gave toward rooms they would never sit in. You are here because of it.

Now we sense Him calling us forward — to reach the 265,000 people within twenty minutes of our doors, to step into our future as a church, and to give ourselves wholeheartedly to His mission.

Going all in means trusting that the God who has carried us this far is able to do far more than we could ask or imagine. This is our moment to respond — together, generously, and wholeheartedly.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.

A letter from Rob

It’s an exciting time in the life of First Christian Church & I am so grateful to be sharing it with you! For more than 50 years, God has been working through the people of FCC to bring hope and new life to individuals and families in Huber Heights and the surrounding communities.

Many of us are here today because others were willing to trust God yesterday. And now, our journey is a part of FCC’s story. We know that if it wasn’t for this church, our lives would be drastically different. Through the relationships we’ve formed, the ministries we serve in, & the love of Jesus Christ – our families are being transformed, and we are eternally grateful.

While we give praise for what God’s done in the past and are humbled by what He’s currently doing in & through our church today, we know God’s not done! He has more for FCC & more for each one of us individually.

That is why we’re going All In & trusting God to do more. We believe the God who has carried us this far is able to do far more than we could ask or imagine. This next season for our church will be one that challenges every one of us to take a next step in our discipleship and grow in generosity as followers of Jesus.

This All In initiative will take great faith on our part for God to show us what He’s capable of. It will require God’s presence to be with us every step of the way. We will have to go All In & trust Him in ways we’ve never trusted Him before, and it will require God to stretch us like we’ve never been stretched before. But if we go All In – we will see God accomplish what only He can do.

When you and I go All In together and trust God to do more, I firmly believe many more individuals will be a part of the FCC family tomorrow because of our willingness to trust God today.

Every household at FCC takes a step. That is the goal we care about most.

All In is an opportunity for every individual and family at FCC to take a step toward Jesus. Not every household giving the same amount — every household praying, deciding, and responding. A church where everyone participates will be changed by this whether or not we hit a dollar figure.

Over the next two years, we’re trusting God to provide $3.65 million in commitments — reaching our community, investing in our partners, and building room for who’s coming next. It breaks into the three priorities below. A goal only He can accomplish through us.

Resourcing and expanding the ministries already changing lives here.

A moment of prayer during a service

FCC Kids

Curriculum, volunteers, and space for the kids who fill our hallways every weekend — so that a child’s first picture of Jesus is a warm one.

FCC Students

Consistent, well-resourced ministry through the years when faith either takes root or quietly gets set down.

LifeGroups

The rooms where people stop being attenders and start being known. More groups, more leaders, more places to belong.

Weekend services

Worship, teaching, and hospitality that are worth inviting a neighbor into.

All In For the World

Investing in our global mission partners, so the work God is doing through us doesn’t stop at our property line.

We have never believed that our responsibility ends at the edge of our parking lot. A portion of every commitment goes straight to the partners we already stand behind — people doing the work in places we will likely never visit.

This is the part of the initiative that costs us the most and returns the least to us. That is exactly why it’s in here.

All In For Tomorrow

A new 375-seat worship center, lobby, and office space — more room for lives to be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.

We are out of room, and being out of room has a cost you can’t see on a balance sheet. It’s the family that visits once, can’t find a seat together, and doesn’t come back.

The plan adds a 375-seat worship center, a lobby people actually want to linger in, and office space that lets our staff work in one place instead of five.

  2. Oct 18 Advance Commitment Night An evening of vision, worship, and prayer as leaders and families commit first.
  3. Oct 28 All In Prayer Gathering An evening to seek God together and pray over our church and our future.
  4. Nov 1 Commitment Sunday The day our whole church family responds and goes all in together.
  5. Nov 22 Celebration Sunday We gather to celebrate what God has done and the journey ahead.
